The 6th Indonesian Neurology NMO Case Teleconference

Various neuro-immunology case studies continued to be developed according to holistic management system, although the prevalence is rare. Multicenter discussion using multimedia presentation has bridged the development of further studies. Teleconference is held to facilitate discussions of various cases of neuro-immunology and to review the diagnosis and treatment of the cases. The event entitled “The 6th Indonesian Neurology NMO Case Teleconference” was held on September 27, 2017 at AMEC, Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, in collaboration with University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Brawijaya University, Sriwijaya University, Sebelas Maret University, Sam Ratulangi University, and Kyushu University Japan.
The 6th neuro-immunology teleconference discussed three topics on transverse myelitis in the elderly (Airlangga University/dr. Devi Ariani S, Sp.S), myasthenia gravis refractory (University of Sebelas Maret/Dr. Diah Kurnia Mirawati, Sp.S), and positive anti-MOG antibodies in ADEM with neuroimaging resembling multiple sclerosis (Kyushu University Japan / Prof. Jun-ichi Kira, MD, PhD).

Halal Bihalal of the "Discussion of the Friday Case" Forum

In order to strengthen the bond of collegiality, the Department of Neurology, Faculty of Medicine, Airlangga University, heldHalal Bihalal (Gathering) at Aksona Room on Friday July 14, 2017, along with the Friday Case Discussion. Awelcome speech was given by Prof. dr. Troeboes Poerwadi, SpS (K), SpKJ, and Prof. DR. d r. Abdul Hafid Bajamal, SpBS (K) to start the event. The forum was also attended by the colleagues of the Department of Neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, the Radiology Department Faculty of Medicine, the Department of Pathology Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine.

"Headache and Intracranial Vascular Malformation" Symposium

“When MRI on the head failed to evaluate the cause of primary headaches in adults, incidental findings may occur”
The symposium was held to respond to an article in a journal entitled Incidental Finding and Normal Anatomical Variants on MRI of the Brain in Adults for Primary Headaches. The symposium was held along with Perdossi (Indonesian Neurological Association) Surabaya Chapter’s Halal Bihalal 2017 at the Marriott Hotel, July 9, 2017.

Prof. Chandra and the Journey of Neurology Surabaya

The theme of the gathering was “Tribute to Prof. Chandra: “Professor. Chandra and the Journey of Neurology Surabaya,” The alumni gathering coincided with the event of “The 18th CNE (Continuing Neurological Education) Surabaya,” on May 5-7, 2017 at the Mercure Hotel, Surabaya. The event was filled with video screenings about historical flashbacks and greetings of senior alumni who interacted with Prof Chandra directly. In May 6 (19:00 to 21:00) the gathering invited UNAIR Neurology Alumni and CNE Surabaya associates. Surabaya 2017 CNE Topic was “The New Era: Towards Curative Neurology”.
